Vale Gymnastics is a fun and friendly gymnastics club located in the heart of Llantwit Major. Our aim is to provide professional gymnastic lessons that are goal orientated and fun, for both children and adults. We originated in community centres throughout the Vale of Glamorgan, and membership of our club quickly grew, which has allowed us to take on a permanent facility in Llantwit Major.
Vale Gymnastics has now been established for more than 8 years and we have over 900 members who attend each week. Our team of instructors have years of experience teaching all ages and abilities and we all have competitive gymnastics backgrounds. Not only will your child be able to develop their motor skills and make friends, but they’ll have some serious fun! About Vale Gymnastics
Vale Gymnastics was founded by Nathan Mullet in June 2011. To begin with it was nothing more than a few mats and spring boards, and an old red van traveling around to local schools in rural Vale to promote the wonderful discipline of Gymnastics. It was soon evident that there was a huge interest in the area and lessons were started in local community centres and church halls. Within 2 months Vale Gymnastics had more than 150 members attending its classes each week and Nathan decided to take the risk and get a commercial unit which could then be converted into a permanent gymnastics facility.
With help from friends and family, the unit was ready and classes started in the November 2011. Within 2 months of opening the new gym, Vale Gymnastics grew, attracting over 300 members for lessons each week. With a lot of hard work and passion for the sport, Nathan continued to invest in more equipment and employed additional gymnastics instructors to help teach its vastly growing number of members. Vale Gymnastics now employs eight members of staff, runs over 45 classes each week and has over 900 members.
Birthday Parties
Are you looking for a unique and exciting place to hold your child’s birthday party? Then why not hold it at our gymnastics club. Our birthday parties are packed full of fun and adventure and involve gymnastics, games and supervised use of the Olympic trampoline. We can accommodate any age range and have hosted hundreds of birthday parties from 1 year olds right through to adults.
You can enjoy:
- Exclusive use of the whole facility
- 1.5 hours of gymnastics with a qualified instructor
- 30 Minutes use of the Party Room (self catering but tables and chairs are provided)
- Free tea and coffee for parents
We can hold a maximum of 20 participants. Party booking start from just £200.

Fundraising at Schools
Over the past 10 years Vale Gymnastics has visited numerous local schools, free of charge, offering free gymnastics taster days. The experience has proved to be a great way to promote the wonderful sport of gymnastics and encourage children to keep active through the sport. It is also an excellent opportunity for schools to use it as a fund-raising day, whether they ask parents for a small contribution or use it as an opportunity to encourage children to raise sponsor money for completing the gymnastics circuit. Schools can then use these funds raised to help improve their facilities. For schools not in the immediate catchment of Vale Gymnastics, we are still able to visit but we will have to charge for our services.
Our Location
We provide all of our classes at our club located in Llantwit Major. We are a very short distance from Cowbridge, Rhoose, St. Brides Major and Wick.
